Mission Gagillapur is the Hörmann Group’s CSR and philanthropy initiative. It brings together citizens, local government and organisations to create a solid foundation and joint vision for locally driven development.
We work with registered representatives and civic society organisations to identify needs and create practical, long-term solutions. Our focus includes clean water, sanitation, education, health and livelihood opportunities for the communities around us.
Clean energy is also an important part of a sustainable community. By supporting energy-efficient initiatives, we help reduce costs and environmental impact while improving everyday life.
Initiatives
- Contribution to schools & education: Shakti Hörmann supports schools with infrastructure that helps children learn in a safe, inspiring environment. Our continuing initiatives include classroom improvements and resources for students in communities around our operations.
- Akshaya Patra Foundation: We support nutritious mid-day meals for children in government schools, helping students attend school regularly and focus on their education.
- Livelihoods training: Women from local communities receive basic tailoring training and support to build practical, independent sources of income.
- Health and education: Health camps, awareness programmes and essential supplies help strengthen wellbeing for families in nearby communities.
- Support with entitlements: We assist vulnerable families in accessing important government entitlements, identity documents and public services.
- Lake beautification: Community spaces are improved through local environmental initiatives that create cleaner, more welcoming shared places.
Cooperation with the German Government
In this endeavour, the Hörmann Group has worked with development partners to build locally relevant solutions. This collaborative approach connects the community, local administration and technical expertise to support long-term progress.
